About this report: The Cuba Bird Survey report covers each day of our program from April 6-16, 2019. The group tallied 157 avian species seen and heard, a total number of 9815 individuals from 63 locations and approximately 1300 miles traveling through the Cuban landscape. Our team successfully logged all possible endemics and future endemics, found nowhere else in the world but Cuba! The diversity of avifauna and Cuba’s importance to North American ecology will be highlighted in this report. Caribbean Conservation Trust’s Cuba Bird Survey is one of the longest-running surveys of its kind contributing to Cuban ornithology.
